Still No Action Taken on the 2008 Miami Open by samsloan
It is truly inexcusable that this vitally important matter has been sitting for eight months and nothing has been done about it. Another example of the incompetence of the office. Sam Sloan

Rumor that Kirsan Ilyumzhinov is financing the Polgar litigation by samsloan
Rumor that Kirsan Ilyumzhinov is financing the Polgar litigation The lawsuit Susan Polgar vs. USCF et al pending in federal court in Lubbock Texas has already cost the USCF several hundred thousand dollars in legal fees. It is reasonable to assume that the Susan Polgar side of the court battle has cost a similar amount. The question is: Who is financing the Susan Polgar lawsuits? There are...

Oldtimer, Censoring, and the New York Times by samsloan
"Oldtimer" is a long time USCF member who has been around since the 1970s and who supports me for election. Because of his support for me in this and in the 2007 election, his posts are often censored by the moderators to the USCF Issues Forum. He has also been suspended several times from that forum for making statements favoring me. He is making the point over there that he made a posting to...

Demands that Goichberg's Own Moderators follow Goichberg's OwnRules by samsloan
You are referring us back to that thread but you still have not answered the question that was asked the What happened to several of my postings that seem to have disappeared into a black hole? One was in response to Goichberg's posting that the CCA has held 17 tournaments in New York State since 1984. Another one was about me and my girlfriend visiting Mike Atkins at the Arlington Chess Club...

Terry Winchester Locks Sam Sloan Thread AGAIN by samsloan
By far the most controversial moderator of the USCF Issues Forum is Terry Winchester. In 2007 during the last USCF election campaign, Winchester "resigned" three times and then each time took back his resignation saying that it had not been "accepted" yet by USCF Executive Director Bill Hall and therefore he had a right to revoke his own resignation. Winchester's "moderation" was so...

Has the USCF Board Learned from the Errors of the Past? by samsloan
Allen Priest keeps making all kinds of ridiculous statements. There is little doubt that every USCF member who surfs the Internet at all saw some of the thousands "Fake Sam Sloan" postings. Allen Priest just joined the forum on Jan 20, 2007 and the first time I ever heard of him was the 2008 Delegates Meeting in Dallas, so he was not even around when many off the FSS postings appeared. Only...

Demands that Goichberg's Own Moderators follow Goichberg's OwnRules by samsloan
What I cannot understand is why you are allowed to be Chairman of the Forum Oversight Committee when you are so obviously biased against certain posters and so obviously supporting the re-election of the incumbent president. Your continued postings combined with your moderation of other posters is just another lawsuit waiting to happen. Sam Sloan

Sam Sloan Receives Certificate of Copyright Registration by samsloan
I just yesterday received my first official "Certificate of Registration" of Copyright from the US Copyright Office. This for a math book I published in September, 2008. The effective date of registration is December 11, 2008, which was the date I filed for copyright registration. I filed for that one after I had been challenged, the only time I have ever been officially challenged on a...

Demands that Goichberg's Own Moderators follow Goichberg's OwnRules by samsloan
Why did you appologize if you hadn't done something wrong? In any case, the Ethics Committee was pretty firm in their agreement with me on this issue. That would even include the member of the Ethics Committee you asked to have appointed as your first act in office, wouldn't it? How proper was it for Sam Sloan to nominate somebody to that committee when he had a case pending against him??? If...

Demands that Goichberg's Own Moderators follow Goichberg's OwnRules by samsloan
As I have pointed out previously, I have responded to this on the USCF Issues Forum several times, starting out four days ago. Not only has my response not been posted but I have received no information as to what is wrong with any of my posts. In short, another posting of mine has fallen into a black hole. Sam Sloan
