Bookup competitor by
Mike Leahy
Bookup has some competition in the opening ebook world. Check out...
http://3mchess.kdgwild.com/
There are free PGN files but if you click on "eBook Store" you'll see
commercial ebooks including one that goes head to head with Bookup's most
popular ebook on the London System. It's newer analysis and it's less
expensive and I don't make a dime from it.

Can anyone beat this Chess Program and provide analysis. by
Sanny
The Chess Game developed plays weak (said by many)
http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html
The Programmers say, to improve it they need to know below things.
1. Do you win by killing pieces easily ( It is unable to see pieces
being killed)
2. Or you win by defeating it's strategy?

Opening training by
Nininho
I play chess for some time and I´m getting tired of playing the same
openings over and over ( mostly Ruy Lopez and Giuoco Piano) and if the
other player try to play another opening I don´t know what to do.
What I need is a software to teach me other openings to help me improve
my game and take off the boredom of playing the same opening.
I already read some posts about openings on this group...

Installing Shredder 7.04 by
RocketMan
Would someone be able to help me installing Shredder 7.04?
I have run the 'setup shredder 704 uci.exe' file, and put the resulting
'Engine704.exe' file in the Chessbase\engines folder. When I run this file,
a DOS box opens, but nothing happens. Is there something obvious that I am
doing wrong?? Thanks for any advice.

two part question by
Ange1o DePa1ma
I have a two-part question related to chess engine performance and CPUs
(central processing unit).
1. My bridge partner and I are having a friendly discussion regarding how
CPUs affect computing performance, specifically with respect to chess
engines. He is not a chess player, by the way. He says that CPU speed hardly
ever matters, especially for common everyday computing tasks, and probably

chess programming: board representation by
davidp.
Hi,
I know a little about programming but I want to make a chess engine. I read
different tutorials about chess programming on the internet.
The following pdf file mentions a board representation method. Anyone can
tell me more about this method? Thanks.
Is this method good? What are the merit and the flaw of this method? Any
other chess engine is using this board representation method?
