With the May 2005 (update #7) the variation board in the engine pane stopped working. Chessbase did ack. this yet here I am 8 months later and still not working and no prospects for it ever working. 1) Has anyone else seen this? 2) is the May update (#7) the most recient chesbase 9 update? 3) Has anyone else talked to chess base about this and have they offered a workaround? My son (12 yr old) used it for about a month until he got board of it. He did master many of the skills - call out a square and he can name the color, call out any two squares and he can tell if different, call out any square with a piece and he can tell you what squares that piece attacks.
