Lars
Hi, for a special purpose I need the license-agreement for Chessmaster 10th edition, which I
bought few weeks ago. I searched on install CD's without luck + looked after documents about

Fritz 6se by
Mark
I have loaded Fritz 6SE which is free with the Game over DVD. During the first game there is commentary that then ceases, why is this. Also are there any more detailed instructions on how to use all the features of the programme.

chess program for beginner - Mac OS X and/or Palm by
nuk
Hello,
I am a novice/casual player and would like to start playing a little
more regularly. Previously on PC's I'd had ChessMaster, but never took
much advantage of it. Is there anything equivalent on the Mac platform?
GNU Chess that comes w/ the operating system trounces me regularity, but
doesn't seem to have much in the way of tutorials, learning aids, etc.
unless I'm missing something. ...

C.C.LONGTHORP
If I enter the moves 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.Nf3 cd4 4.Nd4 e5 into a board window
right click and select add to repertoire, then go to the repertoire DB and
look at this game why is Nd4 highlighted in blue as the critical opening
position and not the move e5.

Fritz 8 v Fritz 8 Champion Edition by
KJB
Anyone know what the difference is between Fritz 8 and Fritz 8 Champion
edition (or for that matter the deluxe version which I've seen mentioned
but not listed on chessbase
(http://www.chessbase.com/shop/index.asp?cat=Fritz+Programs&user=&coin=))?
I cant seem much on the chessbase pages which describes the difference!?!?
I think the "deep" version is basically a multiprocessor variant...

Deep Thought & Chess Puzzle by
Martin Brown
This is partly a history of computer chess question, and of one computer
in particular. In Roger Penrose's book "Shadows of the Mind" p46 the
following puzzle position credited to William Harston is said to have
tripped up Deep Thought.
6kr/5b1p/2p3pP/rpPp1pP1/pP1PpP2/P3P3/1K6/8 w - -
Penrose claims that Deep Thought as white to move failed to understand
this position and played b4xR,...

speaking of CM10 by
cameron lowes
Hi-
The question you've all been waiting for: anyone have a "no-cd"
(ie "crack") for CM 10 so that everytime I have to start the damn thing I
don't have to risk breaking, scratching, or dropping the CM 10 CD- or the CD
I'm taking out of the drive- or the wear and tear it puts on the CD drive.
Sorry, but Santa "brung" ( german- p. tense) me: 1] SiMCity 4 2] FS2K4 (
not really- but a computer i...

Opening Book from Kasparov "How To Play The Queen's Gambit" DVD by
Rudy Lopez
I recently bought a copy of the Chessbase Kasparov's "How To Play The
Queen's Gambit" DVD.
It's regionally encoded and will not play on a US TV.
However, it plays ok on a computer under the chessbase reader and you
can watch the videos in there.
According to the package and product description on the web, the DVD
is supposed to have a QGD opening book for Fritz. I can't find one on
