Batch (command-line) annotation? by
whystopnow
I play on ICC and would like to take the PGNs of my game and hand them
to a script/program so it can crunch all night and spit out
annotations.
I really like the annotations that the most recent version of
Chessmaster does, but you have to navigate through menus for each
game. I don't find Fritz's annotations quite as easy to read (I have
version 7), but anyway it's menu-driven.
I was thinking...

Is there World Chess Competition for Chess Programs? by
Sanny
Just like there are World Championship matches for Best Chess players
in world Is there any Competition for Best Chess Programs?
What is the Money I will get if GetClub comes in top 3/ top 5.
Because Now I have stopped improving the game further as Now even good
players are finding it difficult to win. But If I can get a Lot of
Prizes by winning against Rybka/ Fritz I may further improve...

For years police have done crimes. Police taped using tape recorder.
Only audio.
If a lot of people look at my video the truth might be exposed.

"No Longer Searching for Bobby Fischer" wins "Best Team Name" Prize at
US Amateur Team East
Contrary to expectations, the US Amateur Team East Championship, also
known as the World Amateur Team Championship, held February 16-18,
2008 in Parsippany NJ, set the attendance record for this type of
event. There were 1248 players and 291 teams, both records, which
proves that the financial...

Chess computers seem to be unbeatable :( by
dos-man 64
I've been playing chess for a long time. My father taught me how to
play when I was a teen. My friends and I have played off and on
through the years. Recently, I've been playing most of my games
against an Excalibur machine with magnetic pieces. I've also bought
some very good literature to supplement my existing strategies.
I started off at the lowest level and with each win I crank it up...

GetClub (Beginner) played Rybka till end Game. [51 Moves] by
Sanny
Normally Rybka ends the game in Middle game (25-30 moves). But today
Beginner Level was able to play till end Game. It took Rybka 51 Moves
to win GetClub Beginner Level.
Today an improvement was done So Rybka (Hard Level) was unable to Mate
in 25-30 Moves as it used to earlier.
How many players / Programs has beaten Rybka. I think with the
improvement Normal Level may some day win Rybka.

hash table size by
dkraft
Hi,
How large should the hash table size be?
The large the better?
Or is 1536 MB wasting hash memory?
And is 512 MB enough?
Thanks

Grandmaster or Highest Rating by Draw? by
pialogue
Theoretically speaking, if my personal goal was to achieve a draw in
EVERY game that I played (as stupid or ill-advised as that may sound
to most people), then what is the highest chess rating that I could
possibly achieve and is it theoretically possible to be a Grandmaster
having never won OR lost a game?
