Chessbase 8 Question by
King Leopold
I have a game saved with annotations, comments and other move variations in
chessbase 8.
My question is:
Can I print just the game without all the annotations, comments and
variations? How do I do this?
Thank you in advance for any help.

Don't delete multiple icons in various Fritz releases by
Alberich
I have Fritz 6, 7, 8, Hiarcs 8, Tiger 14, 15, Shredder 7, and Junior 8
on my computer. And it's a good thing I did NOT delete the installations
of the various programs and just used the current GUI. It's become clear
to me there IS a tremendous benefit of having the multiple icons to the
various versions.
I recently discovered that even if you have multiple versions on your
computer...and if you...

ANY GOOD TOURNAMENTS COMING UP IN U.K. by
chessplayer
Can anyone please tell me if there are any good tournaments coming up
in U.K.
I would prefer open tournaments. Also, if there are any upcoming
tournaments with team events. Since me and my team members will be
touring U.K. in November can you tell me if there are any such
tournaments in November or December. Also, if there are any good
websites which will carry such information about tournaments...

what does sanity check error on tablebase files mean? by
Jan
Hello chessfriends,
I have a small problem with the recent Crafty version. but i suppose
it's some misconfiguration on my side. I have some endgame table
files downloaded on my computer. Crafty version 17 and 18 can use
them without any problem. However, upon starting recent 19.04 version,
Crafty does a 'sanity check' on an endgame table file and generates
an error massage. and crashes right...

chess engines by
Thomas Chadefaux
Hi!
please forgive such a probably stupid question, but how do you run engines
against each other? More precisely, I have no problem with the engines that
come in the .exe form, but for those that come in a package with a .eng and
a .dll extension, how do I do (I use chesspartner to test the engines).
Thanks in advance
Thomas

Chess Tiger is a brute!!! by
Chuck in Minot
Finaly got to play this game on a palm of a friend, and I must say, it is a
brute. So far I have lost 3 serious games to it, and each time just when I
think I am getting the upper hand, it pulls off moves that just frustrate
the hell out of me, but I think I am in love. I don't own a palm, but I
think I am going to go get one just to be able to play Chess Tiger. I want
to see my Fidelity 2100...

Building Crafty for Win32 by
Seabook
Hi guys,
I'm having trouble building Crafty on Windows 2000 using nmake. It
tells me it can't find x86.obj. I'm also switching to Visual Studio

Makefile project in VS.NET or something. Any clue or advice you can
give me? Also, can somebody teach me how to set options or edit the
makefile in order to compile to an executable...

ideas for a master thesis by

Hi all
I am about to start my master thesis in computer science and since I'm
interested in AI and chess I though computer chess might be my field of
work. Now, I don't wont to end up writing my own chess engine from scratch
only to find out 6 months later that it plays mediocre chess and that there
are lots of other open source engines that are a lot better. What I would
like to do is rather...

Gian Carlo, or anyone else with DS1 input: by
Gian-Carlo Pascutto
Does DJ treat dual HT CPU's as a 4-way cluster? Or is it considered a
dual-cpu?
A 4-way machine.
I ask, for I would be concerned that a dual-HT-CPU is not a 4-way
cluster in terms of silicion, maybe only logically, and that might create
problems if the program handles things significantly differently based on
that.

Is chess engine is dynamic? by

I have this question with regarding chess engines. Are chess engines
are dynamic, I mean will it get more power full day by day. Will it

position, which is similar to the one in present. Check the
continuation and make a move.
Is this how the computer...
