Harry Payne's mother is a whore by
samsloan
Now, all joking stops, do not!! I repeat do not! ever mention my
mother again. Also if you are going to quote scripture, be sure you do
it right and in context. I can play all the silly games you want Mark,
but donot ever mention my mother again. My mother is a whore and I
donot want to be reminded of it. Play nice little boy.

Neoorthodox Chess by
Mats Winther
Neoorthodox Chess:
What would happen if we increased the board with one more square to the right? The corner square provides a hiding nest for the king should the player want to invoke play on the same wing and advance with the pawns.
Extended castle rule: besides normal castling one can choose to move the king three squares instead of two. The rook ends up on its usual square. The extended...

Input a game from Chernev's Logical Chess - Move By Move by
Fred
I thought I knew how to do this but I guess I don't.
How can I put a game into Chessbase by moving the pieces for both
sides?
I've looked through the help and in Google but I can't figure it out.
I'm trying to input a game from Chernev's Logical Chess book.
Thanks in advance.

Sam Sloan's Games from the 2007 World Open by
samsloan
Here are my games from the World Open. This includes a game I played
as a filler in the Under-2200 section.
As will be observed, in most of the games I was lost, but still I
managed to score 6 1/2 - 3 1/2. Had I won my last round game I would
have won $500.

cloth chess pieces and board by
Maple Tree
Hello,
I have a relative in prison and they can only use a cloth chessboard and
cloth chess pieces. Nothing hard like plastic is allowed to avoid the
making of weapons in prison.
Does anyone know where I can buy a set of this nature ?
Maybe there is a jail-bird chess set available -:)

Bauer spanked me by

Sam, if you could get jiust one fact right in this "discussion" it
would be a miracle.
First, if, in fact, Hanke "disappeared" in January 2004 it will be
news to all of us on the Board who saw him at the US Open in August
2004, at the Board meeting in Crossville in September 2004, heard him
vote on the teleconference to move the office in October, and then saw
him in person at the meeting in...

I don't have to check out the archives, I was there when those archives
you refer to were filled. It's not very special to the Usenet chess groups
- it's basically the same everywhe the signal to noise ratio on Usenet

Deadly, Dangerous, Decisive Damiano's Defense Defeats Drei Denizens During World Open by

Deadly, Dangerous, Decisive Damiano's Defense Defeats Drei Denizens
During World Open
During the just concluded World Open in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania
near Philadelphia, I defeated three more players with Damiano's
Defense.
None of my opponents took the pawn. Needless to say, after 1. e4 e5 2.
Nf3 f6 3. Nxe5 fxe5 Black would be a knight ahead.

Annotating games in Chessmaster 9000 by
Bill
I've just gotten my Chessmaster 9000 out after not using it much when
I bought it.
I would like to input an annotated game from a book I am reading.
I know how to save the game but how do I input the notes about the
game for each move.
Thank you.

Transposition and move table ordering with iterative deepening. by
Greg
I have a basic question which does not seem to be addressed by web
searches of this topic.
I understand how the TT can be used to assist move ordering by storing
a 'best' move and when re-encountering that position, try this move
first. However, it seems to me that the TT can provide additional
information for move ordering for the remaining moves as well. For
example, when performing a ply 2...
