When I go online and try to play in engines room I define engine as Fritz 10 but when I click OK nothing happens. If I start a game, opponents engine plays but my Fritz 10 is dead. Everything works fine when offline or with Fritz as kibitzer. Fritz 9 engine doesn't work either. Only 5.32 version works but that's old. Any suggestions? Maybe some kind of upgrade? Thanky

Since I cannot find an email address of the Programmer of Rybka 2.3.1 Please tell him to re-introduce the CPU usage setting in the engine. I really miss the possibility to set CPU usage on e.g. 98% or less. Now I can't do anything else on my computer in the same time ! This refers to the beta version 2.3.1 I will buy the new version if it has CPU usage back in the engine.

I bought Fritz 10 but still have Fritz 5.32 on my PC. After saving a game (when playing 10) I save it to existing database in 5.32 where I have kept all my other games. When I try to open this database in 10, it does now show my database. Any thoughts please?

Please can anyone recommend a chess engine that excels at analysing endgames (with or without tablebases). There are a whole bunch of positions that arise in games that are far enough from the table base horizon but still relatively simple where their brute force analysis is too time consuming. I setup a position.. and would like to play through the position at first without using the Fritz analysis engine at all. Is there a Player vs Player mode? (Human vs Human)? How do I turn off the analysis and the silicon opponent? Thanks. Locksley
