Advice request: handheld chess computer by
Patrick
My little Excalibur handheld chess computer died recently, so I've been
using my Novag Sapphire II. I get tired of having to key in every
move, though (especially when I play Black and often key in the wrong
coordinates by mistake). So, I'm looking at other options.
I'm just a beginner, so I don't need anything particularly strong. I'd
just like to be able to play a game of chess over lunch...

Ray,

Money is not "game."
Looks are not "game."
Social status or value is not "game."
Those are the things that game makes unnecessary.

So, the firing of Evans seems to have had no real effect on the

The numbers are posted on the USCF BINFO system. Oh, wait, that's
only accessible to USCF members.

Annotations please by
Richard Cavell
Could someone feed this game into one of those computer programs that
automatically annotates and give me the results? I'm particularly
interested in black's 8th move, and what line does the computer give
for black's 42nd move?

ICC by
Chris
I used to play on USCL. Man was that a mistake. ICC is now using Dasher
which is the same USCL interface and they actually know how to program it.
It's awesome. It has analysis built in which rocks.
Anyone who hasn't test ICC should. It blows USCL out of the water. No
outages like USCL either that I've seen. The USCL servers can't handle more
than 100 users at a time.
Just glad I...

CB 9 question by
rooster85
Hi all,
I have a question regarding chessbase 9: suppose I am replaying an
annotated game (with variations).Everytime there's a choice between the
main move and a variation, the program shows a pop-up window to let me
choose. Suppose I choose a variation and replay it to its end. Is there
any keyboard shortcut to bring me back to that pop-up window? I know of
the "M" letter, but that takes you...
