DDR pc2700 ram Windows XP pro OS and am considering upgrading to an AMD

DiagTransfer a free chess tool new version by

I have uploaded a new version of DiagTransfer 2.0.11
DiagTransfer a free chess tool
Copying chess diagrams with a classic position-editor is hard work : you
must have both your position-editor and your document/web page application
open, and must constantly go back and forth between the two. It becomes a
tennis match of sorts: Looking at the diagram you wish to copy in
application 'A',...

POS 1.0 by
Folkert van Heusden
Hi,
I would like to announce my chess-engine.
It is written in Java 5. It doesn't use any regular techniques like the
shannon algorithm, it is more an experiment of some algorithms I made up.
It is compatible with xboard.

All comments are welcome.
I know already of a bug (it castles even when it is check) which will be
fixed quiet soon.

How to improve GetClub Chess Game? by
Sanny
I play Chess at http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html but always loose. My
pieces are killed even by its beginner level.
But some players like Nomorechess are able to beat even it's Easy and
Normal Level.
Can a good player find any mistake in the game that can be used to
improve the GetClub Game?
Earlier every day players used to show me mistakes in my game. Now no

Dasher Interface and Analysis by
Chris
i just d/l'd the new Dasher interface for ICC and it's awesome. I'm used to
the Chess live software and basically it's the same thing with additions.
One of those is the game analyis and it comes with Crafty 20.14. When it's
analyzing it gives percentages for the next move. For example 1. d4 and it
shows: d5 25% NF6 55%. Does anyone know what these percentages are?
Thx

Chessmaster 10 Starting a game by
Terry
I would like to be able to load Chessmaster and hit play and be able
to play my chosen opponent each time. I am working on a computer
player that would be challenging to me.
It would also be nice if it randomly chose color and always put me at
the bottom.
The way I am playing the game now I have to

Test of cheating with Fritz by

It would be interesting to see what percentage of the moves of a great
player from yesteryear matches Fritz9. Say, Capablanca or Botvinik because
of their precision.

openingbook files in Fruit 2.2.1. question by
Ruud
In the chessengine Fruit 2.2.1 (and other engines probably) the book file is
a .bin-file. It's implemented in the engine-folder. There are several
..bin-books for Fruit.
My question is: Is there a way to change a .bin-book in a .ctg-book (for
UCI, Chessbase) , or alter the contents of a .bin-book?
Is there a directory?
Also, if not, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Ruud.

Why all the music in Fritz9? by
Wilma
I'm not complaining, just curious as to why we're given a huge number of
musical pieces. I stumbled upon them by accident. I didn't see any mention
of them in the manual. Whatever the reason, I 'preciate it. Good bonus.

Fritz 7 Window sizing by
jraggio
Hello all:
First of all thanks to the folks that responded to my other thread
about a good free chess app for analysis and playing. I may go back
and try some of the free tools mentioned especially since you added
some clarifications for me. In the meantime I am working with my old
Fritz 7 CD for now. I'm used to it and seems to provide all I want.
I have a question though. When I open the...

Universal Chess Interface (UCI) Proxy by
Ed
Hey all,
Does anyone know if there is a UCI network proxy out there somewhere? A
proxy allows a UCI engine to run on one machine but display on the proxy
machine.
Basically, using Fritz, on one machine have the Fritz engine analyzing a WCC
game and allow for another engine to also analyze without fighting over the
CPU while having it seems like both are running local.
I was thinking about...

Looking for games that are in the Starting out series by
Muggs
Hello All,
I'm looking for the example games that are in the "Starting out: The Ruy
Lopez" book.
Of the first 30 I've found 15 by searching an online DB (very laborious).
Does anyone have a better (faster) way to go about this. And of the games
that I can't find, is there a better way to search?

Kramnik usng Fritz9? by
Henri Arsenault
Topalov's manager has accused Kramnik of using Fritz 9 (see article on
the chessbase web site). He has counted the number of moves that are the
same as Fritz 9 in each of the games (typically over 85% after book).
OK, but has anyone checked to see how many of Topalov's moves match
moves recommended by Fritz9?
If Topalov's ratio is significantly lower, there is reason for
suspicion, but if...
