Stop picking on Beatriz Marinello by Andrew Zito
Stop making fun of her because she's a dyke. Stop making fun of her because she's politically ambitious. She knows how to make the best deals for herself. What's wrong with that? Is it a crime to screw people along the way to achieve your ambition? Bill Clinton did it. So did many other politicians and they're good at it. So stop making fun of this nice lady.

SSDF ELO for the PocketPC Intel XScale PXA270 processor running at 624MHz? by raylopez99
A while ago I bought the PocketPC running on a iPAQ 2215, which sports the PXA 255 XScale 400Mhz processor, and is estimated when running ChessBase's Pocket Fritz 2.0 to have an Elo of 2511 (SSDF) at 3 minutes per move. I'm starting to beat it more often than I like, so I'd like to upgrade to a faster handheld / PDA. Probably I would like to stick to the PocketPC platform rather than PALM. My...

Chess game is beating everyone except a few players by Sanny
The Chess game is playing very good. It has beated every player atleast once except Taylor Kingston & Perrypawnpusher The game is playing quite fast that it allows upto master level to be played. Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html Now, no one criticizes that it is playing weak moves. So now I cant improve the game further. But I see good players beating the Normal &

Junior wins by Wilma
I got to watch two games in the last round of the World Computer championship, one by Junior and one by Rybka. It was hard not to see them as people and start cheering for them as they found moves and solved problems. It was all I could do not to see faces on them as I watched the moves. Junior played entertaining, superior chess, and I admired him. In the Rybka game, Rybka found a plan in a...

Two Computer Match using Auto-232 by Alrak OZ Nim
Hi Could anyone give me some information on setting up a two computer match using Autoplayer via a peer to peer home network? The Fritz 9 manual says it's possible but doesn't give any examples. Despite my best efforts so far I'm unable to get it working. Here is what the manual says...... Autoplayer via network

Much awaited Chess Game Performance has arrived. by Sanny
Now the Game plays what it was intended for. It plays TWICE FASTER and TWICE BETTER MOVES. That is what was needed for getting a decent Chess Playing game. Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html I played with Beginner level and the game was finished in 20 minutes while the Game was much improved due to Opening and new modifications.

Junior 9 - difficult position testing by Amarande
Having a couple of months ago purchased Junior 9, I decided to run it last night on one of my more acid tests of human vs. computer chess ingenuity ... the Schlecter-Janowski game in Paris, 1900. 3246: Schlechter,C - Janowski,D, Paris 1900 1rb5/2pp1qpk/2p3pp/p1N1P3/P1PQ1P2/1P1R3P/6PK/8 w - - 0 1 In this position (after 30 ... Qf7), Schlecter found the surprising move 31 e6!!, which is to me...

Wouldn't this be a great chess engine or database function. by harmless64@gmail.com
The Chessbase engine interface, like for Fritz 9 and Hiarcs 10, all have a somewhat useful "Analysis" function (I personally think "Blunder Check" is better, but for the purpose of explanation, bear with me). You can select a formidably large database of your games and have them "Analyzed" -- or Blunder Checked for that matter -- based upon a set of your specifications. I do this often and come...
