Fischer has a very limited and worse, very distorted sense of reality to the
point that he is mentally sick. Yet, he is also the genius who gave
posterity the treasure of his games. Leave the mentally sick genius alone.

have attributed to Bobby Fischer, and I concur with your last statement.
Yet it seems to me that you may have missed Banana's intended point
(which is *not* to say that I would necessarily agree with his point).

As far as I can tell, 'Banana' was *not* attempting to make a point about
Bobby Fischer being necessarily free of delusions in expressing his beliefs
(such as in the examples that you have cited). 'Banana' was asserting that
Bobby Fischer seems to be honest in directly reporting his own experiences.
Even an evidently deluded person such as Fischer could be expected to know
whether or not his teeth have been chipped recently by other people.

So it seems to me that 'Banana' was writing a comment about Bobby Fischer's
supposed honesty in directly reporting his own experiences (such as whether
or not his teeth have been chipped recently), *not* a comment about Fischer
being necessarily free of delusions in expressing his beliefs about issues
that may not be so directly related to his own experiences.

Although I have criticised some of what 'Banana' has written here, I
have attempted to consider his writings without misrepresenting them

You're missing the point. It is not that everything Fischer says is
true (it's not), but rather that everything he says, he believes to be
true. In other words, though he may be delusional, his honesty and
integrity remain intact.
