Default chess alphabet. The first letter: K

With all this nonsense about Bobby going
around I need something more cheerful.
An overview of the chess talent over the
two centuries or so will do the trick.

Keres had "light hand", and he initiated
the chess royal status of letter K.
Hm, or was Kolisch?!

However the dominance of K is relatively
recent, as we will see soon.

here are our chess K-heros:

Kolisch, Keres, Korchnoy,
Karpov, Kasparov, Kramnik,
Kamsky, Khalifman, Kasimdzhanov

Let us observe that letter K is stealing
in English from other letters, especially
from H (or X if you like). Thus Khalifman
can be also listed as Halifman. I will add
such names under each letter, to have more fun.
Thus we may add:

Sultan Khan.

There were many other strong K-players,
e.g. Kotov or Kholmov (Holmov?). One may
also mention certain characters like Krylenko.

The leading chess letters are the initials of the
world champions (I am adding the chimps for a good
measure). This will push back other letters like
"R" of Rubinstein or "W" of Winawer, but that's
a part of this game.

Enjoy (or whatever :-), and feel free to add any
chess strong or interesting K-personalities,

Wlod

Kapablanka! How kould you have forgotten Kapablanka? Kaidanov. Kan.

Weinstein -- Garrik Weinstein.

Rubinstein/Ruebenfine/Reshevsky.

The "S"'s are very hard to beat, but for the recent dominance of the
"K"-factor.

Kamsky, Khalifman, Kasimdzhanov

I did not see Kamsky...That's what I usually say when I blunder..I did not see
"that".Sorry for being prematurely critical.
