I've listened to all of his interviews, and I understand that Fischer
isn't interested in "mercy" from America. My point was, that based on
his most recent interviews, he believes he will be murdered in America.
I therefore concluded that perhaps appeals for "mercy" would be more
appropriate. Of course, if Fischer, and others would rather see him
executed, he can go to his end spitting on the U.S. all the way.

simply revealed the fact that the statement you made was ignorant.. You are
the one making the assumptions about what is and what isn't appropriate for
Bobby Fischer. You couldn't be less qualified for this task. To repeat,
Fischer is not interested in any "mercy" from the states or from anyone
else. Also, Fischer is quite justified in his disdain of the USA as he has
perpetually been the victim in more ways than one. I am not going to go into
detail of the Beakins robbery or the fact that Viacom, Simon & Shuster,
Paramount, etc have all illegally used Fischer's name to make many millions
of dollars and didn't pay Fischer a dime in royalties. I know that a guy
like you will try to find a way to rationalize everything that has happened
to Fischer.

Speaking of "unqualified," it's my understanding that the ACT is now
attempting to "moderate" a message board of it's own, calling itself
"Winnipeg Chess Discussions" or something similar. The ACT hasn't been
programmed for bipartisanship or fairness, so I'm at a loss to explain how
it's programmer thinks it's going to run a message board in a professional
manner.
