Excpet that phoney Boobaki tries to make me

opinion) historian. That's how phoney he is.
He named many people, who cannot protest, to be
his "friends". He's pushing his phoney English
as a kind of achievement (big yawn). And in his
sleazy way, he who has no real achievements,
attempts to make me look phoney like him. And
that's another disgusting Boobaki's trick.

I read Nick's remark in a another way: As expressing wonder that a person
who is capable of writing a Ph.D. thesis should demonstrate such a lack of
reasoning powers, such a disregard of facts, such a despicable and
uncivilized behaviour and so on and so forth - that the criminal Wlod has
