Default Current Tally of Kortchnoi Tournament Victories??

Does anybody know how many Tournaments Kortchnoi has won in his
career? I've read that Karpov hold the record with 120 wins (with all
due respect to John Curdo's 700+ tournament victories). Surely,
Kortchnoi must be approaching this, given that he has been playing on
the International Chess circuit for over 50 years. Recently, Karpov has
been relatively inactive, and has garnered few laurels. However,
Kortchnoi has, if anything, increased the frequency of his competitive
endeavors.

It used to be that single-player game collections would always have
the player's full career tournament record. Alas, that useful
information is usually absent from books today, and the recent
two-volume collection of Korchnoi's best games (2001 Edition Olms) is
no exception.
IIRC there is a new DVD of Korchnoi's games. Perhaps that has what
you seek?

I have Victor Korchnoi`s book "Selected games" printed in St.Petersburg in
1996. There`s a list of his results from 1946 till 1995.

If I had counted correctly he had 96 victories and co-victories in the
mentioned period.

Regards,

Jerzy

In Kortchnoi's case, he has played in so many events that such an
appendix of his Tournament record would take up many pages, even if in
fairly small print.

Of course, nowadays, many single-player game collections do not get
published in hardcover, and there is more of an emphasis on cutting
production costs.

Maybe ChessBase will simply issue a compilation of crosstables on a CD,
where all crosstables involving tournaments in which a specified palyer
has participated can be called up. It would be nice to have the ability
to have a summary of results for a particular player, and be able to
filter on the type. format, and strength of the event...
