Default Chess politics

Why are American chess politics taking over this newsgroup. ?

The subject is of no interest to most of us.

There is a separate newsgroup fo chess politics.

Sooooo - will Sam Sloan and Pete Casso please **** off.

Regards

Terry

You misunderstand me, I want to have politics off of this newsgroup too. I
have said several times that politics belong in rgcp only.

My intent with the empty postings was to show how badly political postings
pollute rgcm. But you are correct, I am going to post to rgcp to make my
point there.

Yes, go away. This is a British chess newsgroup neither American nor
Italian.

``I wanted to show how bad things are by making things worse.'' Great
plan. Full marks.

Last I heard, this is rec.games.chess.MISCELLANEOUS, meaning just about
anything and everything that has to do with chess belongs here. Who
appointed the great contributor Pete Casso Usenet moderator?

But go ahead and cry, Pete. Whining usually gets one what they want
and is almost always impressive.

Regards,

Matt

As others (plural) have already pointed out to you several times (plural),
there is already an ad hoc politics group, and miscellaneous is for other
things not covered by the ad hoc groups.

Otherwise, miscellaneous gets the postings of all groups, which makes no
sense with all the other ad hoc groups already in place. This is so in any
administrative structure, including usenet and the military.

I am continuing the 'discussion' at rgcp where all this political crap
belongs to in the first place and nowhere else. The annoyance there begins
to inculcate the message.

To the others, have a little patience until this whole crap shakes out. The
alternative is to endure the political crap in rgcm in all eternity, it is
no option for me to do nothing against this abuse of the politicians of rgcm
(and other chess groups).

KEEP RGCM CLEAN!

I know.

There is a separate newsgroup fo chess politics.

Rec.games.chess.politics is a de facto
(nearly exclusively) USCF politics newsgroup.
