Mouse-slip term
Black rooks d8 and d2
White rook d1 White plays Rd1xd2; I made the non-refundable mouse-slip ...Rd8-d3. What is the problem term for that non-capturing movement of a line-piece towards a similar opposing line-piece? -- Work like the ponies in coalmines. Dance like the teardrop explodes. There is "follow the leader" which is often used in helpmates and
selfmates, as well as other problem types, but I am not sure this is the one you are looking for. It doesn't sound like it quite describes what you are discussing.

In my experience of "mouse slips" a mouse slip is something like castles, so
I play pawn takes queen, they say "mouse slip", I give them a takeback so they take back the castling move and instead move the queen to safety. "EJAY" wrote in message oups.com... Cyber touch move!
