I'm 17 and I've never did chess seriously. From my early age I know how to
play chess but till recently I never did deeper research. I would like to start training chess and be a great player. Is there still a chance that I will become one day a GM? |

Your age won't stop you if you spend about 15-25 straight years studying the game for 40+ hours a week, AND you have the talent to make that count. You'll also be wise not to smoke or drink much, as that might shorten your physical capabilities with age. |

Players usually get better when they have little else to do and spend a lot of time playing. |
