The Beginner level is as good as earlier Normal level, Since all
players are good enough there is no point in having a weak game. Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html The computer plays beginner level Games in 10 seconds to 20 seconds. But if a move is complex it may extend its thinking to 1 minute also. But it always gives nice move. You can play Beginner level without login but your game will not be recorded. Play a Chess Game at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html If you want recorded games So that anyone can see it later or you want to play higher level you need to login (It takes just 10 seconds to Login) Only your password is asked. So that you get Ratings based on Games you win. Currently Mr Patidar is at the Top of list and may earn this months $5.00. Every month the Highest Points maker will be given $5.00 So if you are a good player you can earn $5.00 every month. The Prize money will be increased later. Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html Now it is nearly impossible to beat Easy Level as it calculates very nice moves but it takes 1-2 minutes per move so you should have patient playing with Easy level. However I was able to beat one game with Easy level recently. (It was a very tough competition). Bye Sanny. Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html |

However I was able to beat one game with Easy level recently. (It was a very tough competition). You have got to be kidding. Here is a game I just played against the level you say is "nearly impossible to beat": Computer - TK 1.Nc3 d5 2.a3?! e5 3.Nb5?! Nf6 4.d3 Nc6 5.Be3?? -- Up to its old tricks again, dropping a piece within the first few moves. 5...a6 6.a4 -- I thought at least it would try 6.Nc3 d4, but it's in even a bigger hurry than usual to lose material. 6...axb5 7.axb5 Rxa1 8.Qxa1 Nd4 9.Bxd4 exd4 10.Nf3 Bb4+ 11.c3 dxc3 12.bxc3 Bd6 13.Rg1!! -- Beginning a brilliant strategy, reminiscent of Nero's during the burning of Rome. 13...Bd7 14.Qb1 Qa8 15.Rh1!! -- The logical continuation of the plan begun at move 13. 15...Qa5 16.Rg1!! -- Trifles like the safety of his king do not distract White from his plan. 16...Qxc3+ 17.Kd1 0-0 18.Rh1!! -- Marvelous consistency! Even the impending loss of his queen cannot stay White from his course! 18...Ra8 19.Nd4?? -- But what's this?! White wavers catastrophically. If only he had continued as before with 19.Rg1!! -- 19...Ra1 20.Qxa1 Qxa1 21.Kd2 Qxd4 22.e3 Bb4+ 23.Kc1 Qc3+ 23.Kb1 Ba3 24.Ka2 Qb2#. |

Yes you played a game as I saw On the Right side "Taylor Kingston Win:1
Lost: 0 Rating: 1010" But your game was missing when I Pressed View Games. Your Game was not recorded correctly. Could you elaborate any error message or your Internet Connection was down in the game. As the problem needs to be sorted out Why your game was not recorded properly. You login again with your username play a game I prefer Beginner. As even the Beginner level will detect this move and save its Knight. Let me know if your Game is Recorded or not. There seems to be some error when you login. If that error is rectified So that it properly records your Game. I was able to view your Game without your Names written. Your Game was Recorded but your username & Easy levels usernames are missing. Was there any improper Login? http://www.getclub.com/playgame.php?id=DM400&game=Chess Here I see the White Knight was forced to be killed when you pressed P-a7 If knight come back to N-c3 Then your pawn could have forked Bishop & Knight and there was no way to save your Knight. So the Computer Played P-a4. (As, No move could save the Knight. ) See your Game Recorded at: http://www.getclub.com/playgame.php?id=DM400&game=Chess And let me know why your username was not shown. Was there any error in Login? Login & play a new game to let me know your Game is recorded properly. Bye Sanny. |

It cannot happen that on Check it Ignore it. May be it was a case of
CheckMate. At CheckMate it let you kill its king. Just to satisfy. On other moves if there is any chance of saving king it will first save its king. Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html |

On first analysis I thought the computer played very bad but on looking
that Knight was trapped badly made the game look nice. It was very bad for Black having its knight Trapped. The Login Error Problem has been diagnosed and removed. Now your Games will be Recorded better. With your Names written on Top. Bye Sanny. |

Now you will not be able to play Traps as OPENINGS Moves have been
memorised by the computer and it plays initial moves by memory instead of thinking which will make its position better. Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html |

I am starting to think that Sanny is an invented character developed to
bolster sympathy for Taylor Kingston's saint-like efforts to engage the 'soft' program. I wonder what happens on a pure pawn assault of this computer - you known launch f,e,d,and c pawns to '4' - shd be interesting test. Maybe the whole newsgroup should play it, and the person who wins by going longest with no piece moves can be Chaturanga-King of the month. PI "Sanny" wrote in message oups.com... Could you elaborate any error message or your Internet Connection was down in the game. As the problem needs to be sorted out Why your game was not recorded properly. I have no idea why it did not record the first time. The login was correct and there was no break in my connection. The program seems to be recording now. However, playing back the game, I noticed that captured pieces sometimes stay on the screen. At one point I played an en passant pawn capture, ...b4xa3, but the white pawn stayed on a4. At a later point White played Bc1xb2, Black recaptured on b2, but in the replay the white bishop stayed on c1. You login again with your username play a game I prefer Beginner. As even the Beginner level will detect this move and save its Knight. The beginner level managed to avoid dropping a piece within the first five moves, limiting the loss to a pawn: 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Nc3 g6 4.e5?! Bg7 5.Be2 Nxe5. However, it later hung its queen and a rook. |

I grant you that it's now playing better chess (hanging fewer pieces, it seems) but 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 dxe4 4.Nxe4 Bf5 5.Ng3 Bd7 6.Nf3 Qa5+ 7.Bd2 Qc7 8.Bc4 Na6 9.Bxf7+ Kxf7 10.Ne5+ Kf6 11.Qf3+ Ke6 12.Qf5+ Kd5 13.Qe4+ Kd6 14.Nf7# On whatever level it is that doesn't require me to give you my E-mail address. I do not understand what you said about Pawns. Now the game has learnt
opening and plays as per opening moves. And now people are admiring its game. Play Beginner Level: For a quick game. Or Easy Level: for tough Competition Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html |
