So, now that ex-FIDE World Champion Veselin Topalov has lost his first
two games in the tournament at Holland this week, will his manager Silvio Danailov claim that both of his opponents (Mamedyarov in Round 1 and Judit Polgar in Round 2) were using computer assistance? Just wondering ;-) |

He's better choose some game other than the one against Judit. She missed a
forced winning move, 20. Nf5, that everyone saw but her. All computers saw it in seconds. The game until then was a textbook example of good, straitforward development by Polgar against poor development by Topa. But that means nothing to Daimanov. He may claim toxic perfume or something. But that means nothing to Daimanov. I think you're confusing Pedro Damiano, a 16th Century Portuguese chess player who had the misfortune to have his name applied to the opening 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 f6, even though his contribution was to show that it was bad, and Silvio Danailov, Veselin Topalov's manager. He may claim toxic perfume or something. Sounds about as plausible as most of Danailov's claims, yes.
