Default Has anyone tried Fritz 10 yet?

I can't find reviews or screenshots online. Does anyone have additional
info beyond the company's marketing blurbs?

I doubt it. A long string of buggy GUI's did the trick.

I think the main reason to buy it, will be the new Chess Engine. If you are
interested how strong it is, here is a link:
http://www.computerschach.de/index.p...per&Itemid=228
Itīs said, that Fritz 10 is 30 Elo points stronger than Fritz 9.

Exactly what does that mean 30 elo points stronger. It's like what is
the difference between 50 degrees below Zero and 60 degrees below
Zero. If you stand in that kind of weather you will certainly not
know the difference.

For me that doesīnīt mean anything, but there should be some engine Freaks
who are interestet in elo points .

The review is "to be continued" -- what it gives so far is of marginal
utility to anyone having an earlier version of Fritz -- describing how
to install the program, and the optional 3D presentation (which,
AFAIK, almost no serious players use). Then, the review discusses
accessing the Playchess site. However, one can get a non-Fritz User
Interface to access that site, and the features identified by the
review are also available through that software.

So, I'm still waiting for useful info. I've read that the new Fritz
10 allows you to filter out opponents with poor Internet connections.
OK, nice feature, but this seems a fairly minor change which could be
added to the free UI. It seems a cheapo marketing trick to make this
only available on Fritz10.

Correction: the review discusses the analysis feature, which
naturally isn't available without the engine. Sorry.
