1. ICC www.chessclub.com --- There is a small fee to access this
service. You can avail a 7 day free trail membership. Three are lot of titled (GM,IM,FM etc) are playing here. 2. FICS www.freechess,org --- 100% free. U need a non-free email ID to register. It is always better to join ICC, if you have enough money to do. And if you are looking for a free service then FICS is the best. There are a lot of other options too. But I think either ICC or FICS will suite your needs AnEye4Solutions wrote: Kindly advise best sites to play. Thanks |

As other have said ICC is good. For correspondence games I like
GameKnot. It has an excellent interface. Free or paid. http://gameknot.com |

ups.com... 1. ICC www.chessclub.com --- There is a small fee to access this service. You can avail a 7 day free trail membership. Three are lot of titled (GM,IM,FM etc) are playing here. Better is playchess.com Buy Fritz 8, 9 or 10 and play there for free. There are a lot of titled players and amateurs as well 2. FICS www.freechess,org --- 100% free. U need a non-free email ID to register. You cannot register there because the site does not work. However you can play there if you have a registered nick. |

Better is playchess.com Buy Fritz 8, 9 or 10 and play there for free. There are a lot of titled players and amateurs as well The number of players online at a perticular time is greater at ICC than playchess. You need to pay more amount(other than the registration fee) to participate some tourneys and listen audio commentry. Not all services included in the registration fee. You cannot register there because the site does not work. However you can play there if you have a registered nick. The address I specify earlier has a small mistake Try www.freechess.org. It is working now... |
