It's a question not of what floats my boat, but of whether you are
prepared to display a shred of integity in these groups. So far,
AFAICT, you haven't done that.

Will you do that?

Mark,
:-)
Thats like asking you" Did you beat your wife again last Sunday?"
Either you will or you will not play. I simply wanted to give you a
chance to play chess with others and just maybe get to know them
betters just as you did Mr. Klemm.
I really don't care if you want to play or not. It's probably best you
don't play.
Happy New Year.

No, it isn't. Your record, thus far, in these groups, has not been
good.

It's not up to me or anyone else to improve your batting average. Only
you can do that.

Either you will or you will not play.

I already told you my intention.

I simply wanted to give you a

Uh huh. Unlike you, I know them pretty well already. My playing chess

BEST JOKE OF THE YEAR

Of course, you did make the best self-deprecating joke of the year!
You
declared 'Old English is dead', which is one of the funniest things I
EVER
read, and it must have taken you some time and considerable knowledge
to
'refute' the idea by using 4 Old English words!

...surely you mean: "... Olde Englishe words!".

I am sorry, no. It would be Englisc wordes if you wanted to try West
Saxon.

No, Old English. If I wanted to try West Saxon, or indeed a
contemporary dialect of Saxony, I'd've said that....

The word 'English' is not A. Saxon at all. The word Englisc is specifically
West Saxon. This has nothing to do with Saxony! But I sense I address
someone of insufficient basis to contest anthing

The word 'old' seem to stem from Mercian, and an A. Sax incorporation
from
the Norse of the Danelaw via the north of England, and it is not likely
that
'Old English' are terms that will be found together, certainly not until
as
late as the A. Sax Chronicles, and then in writing, since as ani ful no,
Saxon was hardly homogenous on the Island as any single tongue, and even
50
miles could obviate common understanding of speche

You've never visited Tyneside, have you? Or Wearside, for that matter,
or,...

??
So Mark Holesgby is a Geordie?

This is what stimulated Edward to his great educational project, no?

No, he wanted money.

He wanted money? Ha!

And,
indeed, why he, and only he of monarchs, is called the Great.

Alfred. Peter. Catherine....

Only 2 of them English. But that would be to invoke the context - dread
words!

ha ha ha! What do you call this verbal device? In your honor I named
it
Brennunization, and I suggest you spare us any false modesty, since
you
are
so profoundly good at it.

---

sic, indeed. His point being that you often exhibit difficulty in
constructing a proper sentence.

"Mark Houlsby" wrote in message

sic, indeed. His point being that you often exhibit difficulty in
constructing a proper sentence.

As distinct from constructing a sentence properly?

No, those two are not distinct at all.

Not at all distinct? You are still troping, neh? But why argue when 'no' is
enough for your esteem, except of course you back peddle radically when your
silly comments are challenged. Did you not think this was evident?

But what is a trope,
among we hyper-criticals?

Or betwene...?

Good try, but unfortunately not a word then or now. You can't really fake it
so much, but you also can't shut up, so you are shown shallow in the face of
anything else. Its okay - most men do it

You always exhibit difficulty in constructing one which can be
understood by those of us who don't inhabit Planet Innes....

So you have failed to understand the issue because of compounded syntax,
and
sentences containing several phrases, which for you is some other planet,

No.

In that case, you will return to the botched question, or you will say 'no'
like saying 'aaargh!' ?

and also fail to understand much simpler issues such as 'mostly men',
presumably some liking for 'men, mostly', as an alternate unsplit pair,

Again, no.

again how wan a response. Don't wank so much in public, or you'll
surely get get show-up.

you
also have some difficulty with simple 7 and 9 word sentences in the Quiz
about which you exclaim, and even singular words, so that you ask for
definitions of what is:-

'first'
'match'

and also

'first match'

Once again, no.

Really? I distinctly remember you challening these words, each and
severally. But, no doubt you were being facetious, and acting the fool for
the amusement of the group?

Which cannot recommend your judgement, large or small, and if it were not
for your fantastic resolutions about other people, could be let lie.

No, it couldn't, and that's kinda the point....

wowa! - is it kinda what point, your ****ing highness?

Instead it is worth pointing out that neither large nor small attention
attends you - since you are happy to conclude with another who also can
comprehend all 9 simple words of this latest 'question' about a question
without having an hysterical breakdown in public.

"...a hysterical breakdown," The letter "h" is a consonant. Anyone who
actually says "A nisterical breakdown" brings new meaning to the
adjective "effete", n'est-ce pas?

You are too concerned with how you appear, boy. And you appear here as the
****wit of your own description.

Go back to college and finish your degree, or say what you have to say
directly to other men, and see if your snoz survives. Otherwise, there seems
nothing to you.
