THE ACCUSED
News from worldchessnetwork.com The chess world has been rocked by a scandal. Kommersant has learned that the Association of Chess Professionals is about to begin an investigation of suspicions that former world chess champion and first- ranked player in the FIDE (World Chess Federation) rating Veselin Topalov regular received advice from the auditorium during his matches. It is possible that, if the investigation goes ahead, it will use a video recording of one of his matches that is already in the possession of Kommersant. Topalov's manager Silvio Danailov has stated that a suit has already been filed against the German journalist whose publication whipped up the scandal and that similar action will be taken against anyone who tries to besmirch Topalov's reputation. P.S. GM Larry Evans suggested that a vital part of the investigation will be checking Danailov's cell phone records when the suspected games at Corus were in progress. |

Poetic Justice at its finest ![]() I watched the video that the article quoted and it does look suspicious. Personally NOBODY should be allowed near or within sight of the players. That would put an end to all of this suspicious activities ![]() I think in Topolovs next tourny someone should follow his manager around with a video camera... get right in his face with it and see how well Topolov does. If he does extremely well, then all accusations will prove to be false, if not... well the results will speak for themselves. |

This is completely ****ed! Nobody seems to have a problem that Kramnik makes
50+ washroom visits per game during his match with Topalov, of which he provides no explanation for, but when Topalov's manager simply talks on his cell accusations start flying. wrote in message ups.com... Danailov puts his hand on his chin once while watching the game, then leaves the room to take a phone call. If that's "suspicious" to you, you're a complete ****ing moron! If he does extremely well, then all accusations will prove to be false, if not... well the results will speak for themselves. Topalov has been a world-class Super GM for many years. A better suggestion would be to have someone follow YOU around with a video camera and have the tape reviewed by a psychiatric panel to determine whether or not you need to get back on a NAME-BRAND medication |

It sure does I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you two retards couldn't figure out on your own that this is nothing more than a reprisal for Danailov's, very legitimate, complaint about Kramnik's 50+ washroom visits per game and what that may imply. |

Well then what is the excuse when he stopped going to the toilet and still beat Topalov. EZoto |

The charges are ridiculous. All Danailov is doing is scratching his nose, holding his jaw. Is it possible to convey chess moves that way? I doubt it. |
