We have that old Bill Brock lie again. He
claims that Sam Sloan has given an account of how the
latter molested children.

Once again, not true. There remains no proof
that Sam has ever molested a child -- let alone any
admission on Sam's part.

Mr. Brock himself, in a moment of excitement,
did suggest that he Brock had played with young boys
at one time, but we have stipulated that he did not
mean to say what actually emerged from his keyboard.

I neither know nor care whether Mr. Brock is, as
charged by one Joker, a repressed or a raging
homosexual. In fact, one wishes that the man would
give his obsessions, which apparently includes a wide
reading in pornography, a rest.

The latest Brockian joust at the windmill he
evident imagines Sam to be is that the latter ought to
be kicked off the Executive Board, legally or
illegally, because he sells a book written by bogeyman
Jefferson Poland. By that logic virtually every book
seller in America would be ineligible for membership
on the USCF Executive Board. The contents of many
psychology books that are widely sold contain
hair-raising accounts of human depravity, beginning
with Freud. As for the thousands of novels in which
fiction really has outstripped reality, those who sell
them would also be unfit to serve on the board. If you
own a Border's or a Barnes &Noble outlet, you had
better forget about working within the chess movement,
if poor Mr. Brock ever has his way.

Until the Brock man can provide us proof --
which he repeatedly stated he had -- that Sam has ever
molested a child, I believe that his obsessively
sexualized postings are saying more about him in the
minds of many readers than they are about Mr. Sloan.

FYI: Very few readers here are likely to own such a store.
But the intent was nice. Also, readers may not easily
identify with and feel sympathy for so wealthy a person.

The wrong doings that occurred in 2003 are well documented and even
more evidence is now mounting.

There are a lot of questions about the "NY Mayors Cup". However,
nobody is doubting that the games were played, especially since I was
there and watched them being played.

There are many other questions about Susan which need to be answered.
For example she has long claimed to have won the World Championship
for Girls Under-16 in 1981 in Brighton, England. However, a researcher
has just discovered that in 1981 the World Championship for girls
Under-16 was held in Denmark and Susan did not play in it.

She also claims to have won the World Rapid and World Blitz
Championship for women in 1992. However, those were unofficial events
and her only strong competition were her sisters, Sofia and Judit.

She claims to have won the "Triple-Crown" in chess. That is not true
as there is no such title.

In short, it is not true that Susan is a Four Time World Chess
Champion. It is a lie that has been repeated countless times. She only
won the Woman's World Championship once and then refused to defend her
title.

There is no doubt that Susan is a very strong player with many great
accomplishments. However, I feel that Susan should stick to the claims
that are verifiable and true and not make claims that are false.

As to the controversy about her demands for payment in 2003, here is a

This thread illustrates how far this newsgroup has sunk, and why the serious
posters who remain are few and far between.

Say what you will about Sam, but once again he is right and nobody cares.

Nobody can save USCF from its Stalinesque way of doing business. The
Federation is and always has been a secretive, unaccountable, thoroughly
incorrigible old-boy type organization. He's pointing it out, in his
inimitable (and admittedly not always accurate) fashion.

All most of you are capable of is repeating the goddamned bull**** you read
here from Sloan-bashers. It doesn't take much brainpower to pick one insult
or accusation from column A, one from column B, etc., throw in a couple of
expletives, some punctuation, and a few misspellings for effect, and you
have a ready-made response to anything Sam posts here.

It's much less trouble, I guess, simply to rely on super-sanitized,
moderated (i.e. censored) forums, where whistle-blowers are simply
squelched.
