BOT'S POLEMICAL BRONCOS
#3 - Steven Dowd forged my name. I recently received by email a wholly rational explanation of the above charge, which, it goes without saying, contradicted and refuted Mr. Parr's lunacy on this matter convincingly. -- Greg Kennedy With Rynd/Dowd currently in remission, there remains Greg Kennedy or, as he now calls himself, Help Bot. Of all things, Bot "I'm looking for a spellchecker" Kennedy criticized Jason Repa's spelling. Greg had just bragged that he was going "mono a mono" with whomever, and the bucolic lad must have been feeling oatsy. So we had a typical self-inflicted Kennedy assassination of his left or right foot? "Which foot?" you ask. It was his dancin' foot. Bot appears to have dropped the issue of Jason Repa's spelling, just as he earlier subsided after offering a different, even conflicting defense of NMnot Taylor Kingston's claim to be 2300+ Elo than the latter had himself vouchsafed after being outed by, among others, Sam Sloan. So, then, after being bucked off the above polemical broncos, Bot has decided to defend Rynd/Dowd for forging my name at a university site. He claims to have received an e-mail (apparently Mr. "I use no aliases" Dowd) convincing him that no no such forgery occurred,. When asked to share this "explanation" with all of us, he changed the subject.. As usual. Let's see this e-mail! Once again, Bot contradicts Rynd/Dowd who earlier told us the episode was not something of which he/they was/were proud. Indeed, in a posting a few months back, Rynd/Dowd ended up admitting what he/they were denying. We might claim to be giving Bot enough flimsy cobweb for him to snap his scrawny intellectual neck, but he always provides that himself. One need merely remark upon it. As was said of Bob Olson when he got tagged, "he goes down pretty." Yours, Larry Parr help bot wrote: On Mar 1, 8:56 am, " wrote: THIS IS RICH #3 - Steven Dowd forged my name. I recently received by email a wholly rational explanation of the above charge, which, it goes without saying, contradicted and refuted Mr. Parr's lunacy on this matter convincingly. -- Greg Kennedy Perhaps Mr. Dowd (aka "I use no aliases" jamesrynd) would care to share his "wholly rational explanation" of why he used my name without my permission at a university website. Some of us may be harder to convince than his ally. Or this explanation confidential, for Bot's eyes only? Is Larry Parr actually suggesting that his name matches that used on the Web site in question? I had the distinct impression that, although a fitting descriptor, it wasn't an actual match of his actual name. Perhaps my imaginary spell checker failed me this time. It's been some time since the events in question, but the contents of the email I received seemed vaguely familiar; in all likelihood, this is because it has already appeared in these newsgroups, long ago. Possibly several times. Apparently, from what I gathered, Mr. Parr has grave difficulties in handling *any* criticism, and a dispute over the matter of one fellow being a professor -- or not -- at one particular university arose. Out of this spat arose the anger and angst which shall live in the heart of Mr. Parr to his dying day, or at least so it would seem. To my mind, there is a kind of poetic justice in Mr. Parr having ended up sitting on his throne way up in the sky, with none other than IM Innes at his right, and Jason Repa on his left. His kingdom is complete, and therein reigns peace and harmony of a kind which only blissful ignorance can deliver. And, if Larry Parr cannot ever himself achieve true greatness in chess, he can nonetheless rely upon IM Innes to lay claim to greatness in all things; and upon Jason Repa's unmatched bullet-chess skill. Mr. Parr can forever live bicuriously through them. -- help bot |
