On Sunday, March 4th, 2007, the Exposition Park Chess Club
[http://chess.expoparkla.com/] hosted its monthly free, open chess
tournament at the Exposition Park Library [http://www.lapl.org/
branches/06.html].
The tournament consisted of two quads. The tournament, therefore,
attracted a total of eight competitors.
The names of the winners, together with their winning scores,
were as follows:

1st Quad:
1st Place: Jose Quiroz 3-0
2nd Place: Marc Conde 2-1

2nd Quad:
1st Place: Chris Habu 3-0
2nd Place: Tony Grauso 2-1

The relative stength of these winners, compared to the strength
of previous winners in our tournaments, can be seen by visiting our

"Tournament Rankings".
When not conducting tournaments, our club conducts a wide variety
of chess-related activities which include, but are not limited to,
social games, analysis of games, simultaneous matches against a rated
Master, and general chess instruction.
Our meetings are on Sundays, from 1:00 to 4:30 PM at the
