It's time for the yearly Xmas verision of Fritz to be marketed. This
time the perks appear minimal if you already have Fritz 10. If you
want a strong program, go with Rybka. There are plenty of free
databases available on the net. You probably already have a bunch of
Combinations books. Fritz 10's Media system works fine. It there any
reason to update to the newer version?

If you use playchess.com, the cost of the upgrade (which in the past
has always included a year's membership in playchess) isn't all that
much more than the cost of membership.
