Default Los Angeles Open Chess Tournament Results

On Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, the Exposition Park Chess Club [http://
chess.expoparkla.com/] hosted a free, unrated, three-round tournament
at the Exposition Park Library [http://www.lapl.org/branches/06.html]
in Los Angeles.
The tournament consisted of four quads, the fourth of which was
assisted by Christophe Carter who functioned as the club's house
player. There were, therefore, a total of fifteen players who were
attracted to our club's tournament.
The names of the winners, together with their winning scores,
were as follows:

1st Quad: There was a tie for first place between Marc Conde and
Alberto Mendieta, both of whom had a final score of 2-1.

2nd Quad: There was a tie for first place between Reynaldo Cruz,
Vartan Ghazarian, and Joshua Valle, all of whom had a final score of
2-1

3rd Quad: Daniel Dudley 3-0

4th Quad: Marco Torres 3-0

When not conducting tournaments, our club conducts a wide variety
of chess-related activities which include, but are not limited to,
social games, analysis of games, simultaneous matches against a rated
Master, and general chess instruction.
Our meetings are on Sundays, from 1:00 to 4:30 PM at the
Exposition Park Library. The Library's address and contact information
is:

Exposition Park Regional Library
3665 South Vermont Avenue
Los Angeles, California 90007
Tel: 323 732 0169
Fax: 213 612 0540

Our meetings are open to everyone and we very much look forward
to seeing you at our next one on Sunday, November 18th.
