As I look for a place to play rated chess other than USCF tourneys, I
was about to sign up for ICC when I received an email from World Chess
Live.

Unless I'm mistaken, World Chess Live appears to be ICC for the
patzer. Frankly, for me this might just be perfect. I learned long ago
that I have no interest in memorizing openings, and therefore I'll
always be a fish. I like to know when I am improving (ratings) yet I
am looking for friendly games. I don't have a need to hang out with
Grandmasters.

However, I've not seen any reviews of World Chess Live, and I was
wondering what members think of this newly rebranded service. (It
appears to use the same software as ICC).
