Ivans move A-7x B-6 , pawn takes queen..
It mite not have taken your queen because it opens the rook up ... As for e-mail to e-mail play i suggested that but Sanny wanted to play here ...I do agree with Sanny i only read the post that i am interested in and do not waste my time with ones i do not. By the way m webtv can not work on his getclub , if it could id just do it there .. Some of yours ( i forgot who i am talking too ) but i read some and ignore some .. This is more exciting to me than most of the stuff that gets posted here , i would like to see more computer chess wars go on here ... Helpbots Fritz vs the guy with Shredder for example ... |

yes i got your rook to C-I ..
Ivans move was King to D-7 .. Your move This has been a interesting game.. If we have a rematch i am not sure Ivan can be white ,,,This computer plays the white pieces from the 7 and 8 rank ...So black is on the first and second rank ..White queen on E-8 .. I wish they would not have done it like that because i get confused ...Can getclub handle a game like that ? |

If it is true that the manufacturer did not allow for the human playing as Black, I would be quite surprised. Perhaps you just need to read the instruction manual? In any case, the color of the pieces is not the real issue; what matters is that you switch who gets to move first. Suppose you decide that Ivan should play 1. e4 and Sanny's reply was going to be ...e5; just play the following sequence: 1. e3 e5, 2. e4, and the position is identical except for the move numbers will be off by a half-move from a normal game. No doubt there are tricks with Knight maneuvers to lose a tempo without a single pawn being touched. Better still, just learn algebraic notation and the problem is solved *permanently*, for life. :D ------------------------------------------------------------- I am playing this out from the "dead lost position" which occurred after 11. ... Bh4+ to see what might happen with a top-level program defending as Black. Interestingly, the same tactical idea of deflection has occurred many moves later in a different position. White managed to hang on to his two-point advantage for a long while, but made no real progress. Now the two programs strongly differ as to the size of White's advantage, the weaker one saying it is big, the stronger one saying it is small. It is simply incredible what a REALLY strong chess program can do, no matter how hopeless things may look to us! -- help bot |

Yes i am sure we can play it like that , ivan as white , But if i have
to keep track i'll get confused so id want Sanny to keep track. I think if ivan moves the king to E-6 it mite be a draw ? Thing is i do not think Ivan draws .. The one draw i have had with it i had a perpetual check and we made the same moves about 8 times before i said draw ....I think Ivan would have just made the same move all day long. ivan thinks he is losing + 2.7 probably because of white has his bishop but it does not look like it can do much .... |
