I do not understand why GetClub is playing so bad moves, It should
have played Rb4 instead of Rc4 and should have taken the b6 pawn. Lets
see what happens now.

Because it is an incredibly weak chess engine.

ivans move Rook A-5 to B-5

Ivan was thinking of moving g-7 to g-6 pawn but decided on the rook
move..

I do not think ivans end game is very strong either , vs Fritz 9 it
was using a rook to protect a lowly pawn while the King was being
attacked ...I kept yelling at ivan to move the rook..ha ha ..by the time
he started to move it the game was almost over..

Hey, Sanny *thinks* he is an 1100 rated player
only because somebody (who?) told him so. But
let's say that is about right-- are you going to
trust the evaluation of such a weak player, as in
his assessment above?

How about switching modes for a second?
Instead of insult-GetClub mode, flip to what's-
your-own-assessment mode. Do *you* agree
that GetClub is playing "so weak moves"? How
about Ivan? Is it realistic to think both programs
can come up with "good" moves, when one of
them is dead lost? True, really strong programs
can somehow find ways to make things tough
when they are losing, but sheesh-- that requires
some awesome programming skills, not just
"competence" at chess.

Maybe Sanny and SAT W-7 are clueless, like
when they could not comprehend Nxd5? Anyhow,
I am still working on a battle from the dead-lost
position after B-h4+ in the opening, between two
much stronger engines. I gave the better one the
lost position and more time, and it has held the
line at somewhere around two points worse. Like
the GetClub program itself, the weaker engine
left one Rook out of play on a1 for some time,
and it is instructive to see how this sort of thing
can be exploited by a superior program, even
though it is "dead lost".
