Yesterday, Sunday, March 2nd, 2008, the Exposition Park Chess
Club [http://chess.expoparkla.com/] hosted a free, open, unrated,
three-round chess tournament at the Exposition Park Library [http://
www.lapl.org/branches/06.html] in Los Angeles.
The tournament was assisted by Laurence Neuton as photographer
and Valentin Zeli as house player among four quads. The tournament,
therefore, attracted a total of fifteen competitors.
The names of the winners, together with their winnings scores,
were as follows:

1st Quad: Marc Conde 3-0.
2nd Quad: There was a tie for first place between Jurado Feliciano and
Vartan Ghazarian, both with a final score of 2-1.
3rd Quad: Daniel Dudley 3-0.
4th Quad: Joshua Stern 2-1.

When not conducting tournaments, our club conducts a wide variety
of chess-related activities which include, but are not limited to,
social games, analysis of games, simultaneous matches against a rated
Master, and general chess instruction.
Our meetings are on Sundays, from 1:00 to 4:30 PM at the
