Yes Sanny and I will have a rematch in the near future and i hope Ivan
can be white and we will play on the computer discussions board to make
every one on this board happy ...
GC and Ivan are very close in elo i belive..

let us know how you Chess Master does against the other computers ..

ivan can only play white from the 7 th and 8 th rank .....Black on the
first and second rank so i hope GC can play that way or if Sanny can
keep track BUT if he can not then Ivan will play black again ..I will
make it open different ...

Thanks for the response. I've started a series of CM vs Shredder, 2 games
complete, of the 6 planned, alternating between gets white. When I finish
the match I'll post all the games in 1 message here so you can look them
over if you like. CM has won both games so far, but shredder is playing
much faster so I'll continue to reduce CMs time controls to see what effect
that has, 1st game was 30 mins per side per game, 2nd game I dropped it to
15, I'm thinking trying 5 mins for the rest of the match but if it's a long
game the latency of me entering the moves may become a factor.

That sounds like a good time limit , 30 min per side , It is not CM's
fault that Shredder is moving fast ... Are you playing some one els's
computer or playing a on line computer ?
Hey some time down the road play HARICS , that is my favorite , it is
supposed to play a strong middle game...

Yes id be interested in seeing your results , 6 games is ambitious
, i was just thinking of one game vs all the computer programs ..

The reason why i asked about who's shredder your playing is because
what kind of desk top or lap top computer do they have ? I belive that
makes a difference too ....

say's it is a ivan two is wrong .....There is no other way i know of to
see if i have the ivan one ...You will understand what i am talking

I've been playing against Shredder on-line, at the Minnesota State Chess
Association site. From the speed at which it moves I'm not sure the
hardware makes much a difference. It's moving fast enough during the whole
game it looks like most programs playing from their opening books. I'be
played the first 2 games already, and have them saved with CMs auto
annotation, I plan to play a few more games and possibley finish it up this
weekend. The PC running CM isn't even close to todays typical system, it's
an AMD 2800+, I plan on upgrading to a faster system in May and am pretty
sure it'll have an effect on CM's play.

Yes that will probably get you some extra ELO out of CM.....The faster
upgrade ...
