On Sunday, April 6th, 2008, the Exposition Park Chess Club
[http://chess.expoparkla.com/] hosted a free, open, unrated, three-
round chess tournament at the Exposition Park Library [http://
www.lapl.org/branches/06.html] in Los Angeles, California.
The tournament consisted of three quads. There were, therefore, a
total of twelve competitors who were attracted to the tournament. The
tournament was further assisted by Larry Neuton who was the event's
photographer.
The names of the winners, together with their winning scores,
were as follows:

1st Quad: Gem Malinao 3-0
2nd Quad: Jose Quiroz 3-0
3rd Quad: Dave Fernandez 3-0

When not conducting tournaments, our club conducts a wide variety
of chess-related activities which include, but are not limited to,
social games, analysis of games, simultaneous matches against a rated
Master, and general chess instruction.
Our meetings are on Sundays, from 1:00 to 4:30 PM at the
