Mr Trice,
We exchanged several e-mails in December 2006. It was about the time that you were claiming that the Gothic Chess Association had 20,000 paid up members and that the tournaments you ran attracted 4000 entries. I contacted several people who might know the truth of your claims, including Dan Heisman, Susan Polgar, those few people who actually played Gothic Chess online, the people who run standard chess tournaments in Kansas etc. and every single one of them said, in so many words, that you are a loon. Remember this thread on the Red Hot Pawn site? http://www.redhotpawn.com/board/show...d=54078&page=5 (Start of Ed Trice quote) The 2002 college scholarship event was just for 1 year's tuition. We had 895 participants. In 2003 we had 1640. In 2004, over 2000. In 2005 we offered 2 years' tuition, and it was a fiasco, with over 4000 registrations, maybe 60% of the registrations coming within 1 month of the event, and people showing up "at the door" even though radio ads were mentioning the tournament was, in fact, closed. There were problems turning people away, let's leave it at that. (End of Ed Trice quote) I spent a lot of time tracking down and documenting your lies, and when I discovered that you were involved in the "61 Memorable Games" scam I contacted Edward Labate and offered to help him destroy you. He is now in possession of all the evidence I collected and no doubt a lot of it will be presented in court in due course. I can't believe anyone, even yourself, believes that I am the same person as Edward Labate, but if anyone wants to contact me directly they are more then welcome to do so. Best wishes, Jon D'Souza-Eva |

"Ed Trice" wrote in message ... 2. "He did not raise $14 million for a Fischer Gothic Chess Match." That is 100% correct. I raised $15,000,000 over a period of 2 years. This was even stated in "New in Chess" issue 28, or whatever the number was, that was the "Bobby Fischer Special Edition" that came out around March 2008. Just to clarify; does that mean there was $15 million interested dollars - pending match arrangements there being a total of $15 million which had been canvassed, but not exactly commited? In it, Fridrik Olafsson confirms that I visited him in Iceland and presented the documentation of the prize fund. Check your sources. I did my source is Saemi P, my phone and e-mail and this part about visiting Iceland seems correct, It is the same issue that Labate used to claim I never met Fischer. Though, is it exactly true to say that although you visited Iceland you did not get to interview with Fischer? Phil Innes -- Ed Trice |

OK Ed, let's hear your explanation. We can call this the E.T. Wall of Lies: -- He lied about raising 14 million dollars for a Fischer Gothic Chess Match. -- He claimed to write the world champion checkers program, but shows no proof of this. -- He claimed that Donald Trump wanted to buy the patent for "Gothic Chess" from him, but he wouldn't sell (although he's declared bankruptcy), even when being offered a 7 figure sum. Yeah, I'm sure that happened. -- He tried to scam the entire chess world and completely disrespected Bobby Fischer with his fake "My 61 Memorable Games" hoax. -- After getting caught red-handed (the evidence is overwhelming) with his "My 61 Memorable Games" hoax, he tries to blame it on someone else. Completely pathetic. -- He created several aliases (Scarlet Rose, Victor Rose, etc.), posted lies to chess newsgroups with them, and even after he was busted, continues to lie and deny that they were him. -- Claims he was never married to cover some other lie that he told, but then turned around on another site and is quoted as saying "I was there with my wife Ellie" when referring to a trip to Paris. -- He claims to be a 2200 rated player, but facts show that he's a mid-1300 player. He lies about that until he can't lie any more, THEN claims that the "Ed Trice" on USCF's rating site is not even really him, it's his cousin, yet has a link to the rating site on his own Wiki page that clearly shows that he's lying. He's too stupid to even be a good liar. -- Makes trip to Iceland with Frank Camaratta, but never meets Fischer. Supposedly goes to Iceland again by himself (with no witnesses) and magically meets Fischer with nobody around to verify this. Very convenient. -- He claims one day to be a British citizen, but then the very next day (when it's convenient for his argument) hides behind the fact that he's a U.S. citizen and has rights. Talk about lying so much that YOU don't even know what the truth is anymore. In addition to all of this, the moron shows up at the World Open with a t-shirt that basically advertises that he perpetrated the "My 61 Memorable Games" hoax, arrogantly has someone take a picture of him (not a very flattering one by the way), and doesn't even play a single game of chess in the tournament. What an idiot. Everything on this list is just off the top of my head, I'm sure that the list could go on much further and I'm sure that Trice will have some rebuttals that are completely devoid of any facts, as always. Feel free to contribute to the E.T. Wall of Lies. |

Ed Trice says:
"It is the same issue that Labate used to claim I never met Fischer." Who are all the people that were in attendance with your meeting with Bobby Fischer? Names pal, we NEED names?? I'm very confident that Bobby Fischer would never have had a first meeting alone with an obscure D player; who had just lost his house in 2003, filed for bankruptcy in 2004, http://tinyurl.com/49rkog and now shows up in Iceland saying he's got $15M dollars for a match with Karpov. Sure, Trice...where do I sign??? ...the big three - Buffet, Trump....Trice?!?!?! 23 days... TIC TIC TIC |
