Bologan's Ng6 was a cute tactic. Normally, Anand's Caro-Kann Defense
is quite solid (except against Kasparov). It looked like Anand made
some poor moves in time pressure. It also was instructive to see the
way Bologan was able to gain several tempi for his attack.

Anand plays Kramnik next, and has White. We'll soon see if anand
still has fight left in him, or is demoralized by the upsets.

It looks like the tournament "lambs" are refusing to lay down for
the slaughter.

The most important games involved Kramnik and Leko, of course. If
Leko can beat Kramnik in their mini-match, then that will go a long
ways towards whetting sponsors' interest in a match. Leko hasn't shown
much so far--I hope that he isn't content to merely draw Kramnik and
Anand, and strive for wins against Raja, Naidistch, and Bologan. As we
have seen from the first three rounds, it is dangerous to rely on
harvesting full points from the 2600s.
