Hello, I like playing chess, but even more I like collecting nice Staunton sets. I have been collecting sets for years and have found some really great ones from the House of Staunton and Chesstopia. If you've never checked them out and like Chess sets, check out: www.houseofstaunton.com www.chesstopia.com Can you recommend any other places with unique Staunton sets? While I'm at it, about 12 years ago there was a set designed by a french company and sold as a Kasparov approved (signature) set. It was nice, with some larger than normal Rooks. My set had an unfortunate accident and I would like to find a replacement, any ideas on someplace that might carry this? (I do check Ebay). Any tips on a specific set that you really like would be appreciated as well. I'm assuming that this is the right newsgroup to post a set question. if not please direct me to a better one? Ken Cobb |
