Default Los Angeles Open Chess Tournament Results

On Saturday, August 2nd, the Exposition Park Chess
Club[http://chess.expoparkla.com/], hosted an free, open, unrated
tournament of two quads in three one-hour rounds of play. The
tournament was held at the Jefferson Branch Library
[http://www.lapl.org/branches/17.html] in Los Angeles, California.
The names of the winners, together with their final scores, were as
follows:

1st Quad There was a tie for First Place between Walter Robleto and
Gary Tillman, both with a final score of 2 1/2 - 1/2
2nd Quad Jason De Paz 3-0

When not hosting tournaments, our club offers various chess-related
activities which includes, but is not limited to, individual games for
pleasure, simultaneous matches against a rated Expert or Master,
analysis of games, and general instruction.
Our meetings are held on Saturdays, from 2:00 to 5:30 PM at the
Jefferson Branch Library, located West of USC and South of the West
Adams district [http://www.lapl.org/branches/maps/17-m.html].
We welcome all chess players of all levels of skill. Take this as your
personal invitation to visit us.
