Try USCL. www.uschesslive.org (free rated games up to a limit of 12 per day)

Chess-net used to be free, but they have turned to pay-to-play. Chessclub is also OK, but after 2 weeks of free gameing, your acount gets locked 'till you pay. -- Nik

USCL has, hands down, the best interface. The only issue with USCL is the
