MR. NOMORECHESS
By Larry Parr

A word for Nick Bourbaki: Nomorechess is Greg Kennedy.
The "style," if that is quite the word, is inimitable.
Right down to the grammatical and spelling mistakes.

Years ago Mr. Kennedy used to talk about finding a spellchecker that would
empower him. He never did. The malapropisms are ever present, and at this
late date, one guesses they always will be.

Greg Kennedy ("NoMoreChess") seems extremely sensitive about any corrections
of his errors in English usage, which have been made, as far as I know, by
Mark Houlsby and Larry Parr.

In some of his posts, Greg Kennedy ("NoMoreChess") has vented his hostility
toward me about what he *mistakenly believes* is my regular practice of
correcting his errors in English usage, which I have *not* been doing.

For the record, I could *not* care less about how many errors in English usage
that Greg Kennedy ("NoMoreChess") makes. His errors may cause embarrassment
to him, but his errors cause no embarrassment to me. And I lack the time and
the interest to address his many errors in English usage.

Contrary to what Greg Kennedy ("NoMoreChess") apparently assumes about me,
I don't "get a kick out of" correcting errors in English usage. After having
read enough student papers, I prefer not to correct errors in English usage
unless I am being paid to do it.

Also, after I have corrected their errors in English usage, some persons have
thanked me for helping them to improve their writing. Given his record of posts
here, in that situation presumably Greg Kennedy ("NoMoreChess") would respond
by making a personal attack against the person who had corrected his errors.
That kind of expected response should not encourage anyone to correct Greg
Kennedy's errors in English usage.

Mr. Kennedy and a few such as he have taken up false e-mail addresses, and
their criticism of this writer is that I fail to guess who's who. There was
a lot of resentment from our Nomorechess when I twigged his identity almost
immediately.

Even when he was known here only as "NoMoreChess", Greg Kennedy seems to have
been full of resentment. For instance, "NoMoreChess" kept referring to John
Macnab as "Mr. McBad" ("NoMoreChess" has practised similar name-calling against
at least several other persons) while denouncing him for allegedly making
ad hominem attacks. That accusation against Mr. Macnab was as false as Greg
Kennedy's many other accusations against me and some other writers here.

"He was a falsehood done in flesh and blood."

..
It is telling that someone would actually *buy* such a stupid argument: my
spelling mistakes are supposed to be identical to those of another poster,
proving I am him? LOL

A sophisticated text analysis engine could, perhaps, find key words which
only Greg Kenedy and I misspell -- I would be very interested in knowing which
words these are, and more importantly, how it is that *nobody else* misspells
them. Can either of these two imbeciles provide an example?
