I'm a nervous wreck. Who would think a Ruy would still hold such games after
all its time on the planet? She's winning, she's not winning, she's losing, it's unclear, she's winning -- she won! What a game! This was Round 3 in the Essent tourney. She leads the tourney by a full point. Wilma |

Wilma Sokolov probably did have an advantage, but Judit was able to deminstrate her fighting spirit, her ability to take advantage of opportunities that presented themselves, and her talent for finding tactical shots that Sokolov could not anticipate. Her game aginat Karpov was a shocking crush, complete with an h7 sacrifice. Obviously, as Judit is a full point ahead of Aronin, with 3 rounds left, she is in the driver's seat to win the event. At this rate, she'll also gain a few ratings points, perhaps enough to boost her into the Top Ten. |

I put the game into Chessmaster and watched it again. Some of her problems,
if that's what they were, arose from her aggressiveness. She goes for an attack against a strong player even though the attack is anything but certain to work out in her favor. She's a very gutsy chess player. Wilma "Isidor Gunsberg" wrote in message om... "Wilma" wrote in message nk.net... I'm a nervous wreck.
