Is there an inexpensive book or series suitable for weekly chess lessons? I
am a high school coach (not that great a player, about 1600) and I would like to give individual lessons to some of my students. What I need help with is laying out the topics (what should come first) and finding appropriate materials. My best players are about as strong as I am, and we have a lot of under 1000 class players. |

Have you considered help from the USCF? http://www.uschess.org/scholastic/ might give some ideas and free materials. Good luck. -- CeeBee Uxbridge: "By God, sir, I've lost my leg!" Two suggestions:
1. the Dutch, also in English available, TASC CD with the official teaching program of the Dutch chess federation; See http://www.chesscentral.com/software/tascsoftware.htm In dutch there is also a teacher's manual as a didactic aid. 2. look at Convekta's chess site for their networked teaching course 'Chess School for Networks ' and 'Advanced Chess School: network version ' Succes, Jo Steinschuld "Matthew" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ...
