Hi there,
i was fidlling with chessbase 8, and was wondering how to create these great multimedia annotations, with red squares pointing at an attacked square, two arrows indicating a skewer, etc etc. I've seen it in other ppl's chessbase files. Is this done outside chessbase? Because I can't find it in chessbase itself. thanks in advance, Martin |

If you hold down the Alt key and left-click a square, it should turn green Alt+Ctrl and left-click should turn it yellow, Alt+Shift - red. If you hold down these same combinations of keys and left click on the square from which you want an arrow to start, hold down the mouse button (just as you would if you were going to move a piece) then move the mouse pointer to the square at which you want the arrow to point, then release the mouse button, this should produce arrows in these same three colours. So, for example, if you wanted to produce a yellow arrow to illustrate the first move of the Dunst/van Geet opening, you would hold down Alt+Ctrl, left click on b1 and hold the mouse button, move the mouse pointer to c3 and release the mouse button. hth Mark |

Squares and arrows are no multimedia annotations. Multimedia annotations are sound, video and pictures. -- CeeBee Uxbridge: "By God, sir, I've lost my leg!" Wellington: "By God, sir, so you have!"
