Does anybody have a listing of Team Chess Tournaments that take place
in the USA? I'm not interested in scholastic Team events for kids, but those events that allow adults to participate. Of course, I am awareof the regional US Amateur Team Championship (held in 4 regions) that is coming up in February. However, are there any other Team Chess events that are Open to all players? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance... |

I used to live in upstate NY, near Rochester and we had team tournaments
there. I checked the Rochester chess club web site and it seems that they are still held. Unfortunately, there seems to be little happening on team chess nationwide. I did a Google search and found few listings - and most of those were scholastic. There was a online team organized at http://ftp.net-chess.com/~mluka/ ; you might check that out. One of the better-known ones is MOTCF (stands for Middle Ohio Team
Chess Festival). I don't have any information about this handy; it isn't yet in the Clearinghouse website for the Ohio Chess Association. Tom Martinak posted something about the Pittsburgh Chess League, but he may have meant to post something about the upcoming Pennsylvania Open Team and Scholastic Team Championships - West, scheduled for January 24 & 25, 2004. Drat, Google has not shown anything posted since some time Tuesday afternoon. (Isidor Gunsberg) wrote in message . com...
