Default Russian fairy tales or a chess master from Lubyanka rewrites the biography of Regina Fischer

Read carefully : it is Fischer`s sister who claims that Regina Fischer

had
been in Ukraine for one year (very interesting indeed).

It is Bebchuk who states that Fischer's sister made such a claim. As
Fischer sister is dead she can't confirm that she really said it, so,
no witnesses. It is also known that in 1957 Regina wrote a letter to
Soviets and asked that her son be invited in the USSR, so she not only
was not against the journey, but even helped her son to visit Moscow.

So what ?
You can`t prove that Bebchuk didn`t talk to Fischer`s sister and your
reasoning is doubtful. On the other hand it`s very probable that Bebchuk did
talk to her. He lived then in Moscow and attended the chess club and was a
quite good chess-player (unlike patzer "eXile")

There is no word
that she (Regina) hadn`t been in CCCP for 6 years and that she hadn`t
studied there.

Bebchuk own words from the article are(how many times should I quote
the same things?): " But let us return to the other "facts". So, the
mother of Fischer
lived in our country for 6 years and even graduated from the medical
institute. I doubt that".

That is what you call "No word"? Bebchuk bluntly says that he doubts
this fact, don't you see that? Either you are inattentive yerself or
you are cheating here.

You are wrong again: to doubt and categorically claim that she didn`t study
in Moscow are two different things. However it`s very interesting to check
out whether Regina Fischer had been to Ukraine as her daughter claimed.

OTOH you missed the main line of the article : Bebchuk is laughing at FBI
X-files that suspected Robert Fischer was a KGB agent.

[snipped your pathetic text]

What you write about Russia and its people (journalists in particular) I
call "Flamber`s pulp-fiction"

Regards,
Jerzy

I read it somewhere written by a reliable journalist that he really
composed chess problems and the he is a good chessplayer.

Interesting : do you remeber that journalist and where it was printed ?

I don't the info right now, but I'll respond to this one tonight.

Fischer's sister Joan was born in Moscow. She was only a year old when
they returned to the USA. So perhaps, she didn't have a vivid
recollection that her mom lived in Moscow, studied, got married, and
delivered her there. OTOH, perhaps the interview didn't happen at all.

How old was she when Fischer went to Moscow to play blitz with Botvinnik ?
Bebchuk claims she was three years older than Robert.

Close. Joan was born in 1938.

There's no question about Krabbe being a Fischer basher. As for Sloan,
I agree with you. However, you didn't know that he broke the incorrect
story about Fischer's father here in RGCP. He also claimed that he is
one of the sources of the infamous Philly Inquirer journalists.

That`s the role of (internet) journalist like Sam to give us up-to-date news
here (sometimes shocking and untrue like alleged Leko-accident) even if they
turn out to be only a gossip.

All the best to You in 2004

Regards, Jerzy

Yep, gossips that turned out to be false.

Happy New Year!

Jerzy,

The journalist is GM Larry Evans. It was written in The Chess Beat,
Pergamon, 1982 and was repeated in the January 2004 issue of Chess
Life.

Perhaps the Pope was taught by his uncle, Marian Wrobel, a Polich
chess problem composer.

All the best, Lance

Hello Mr. Davidoff or Mr. Khariton, do you think it's possibility for a
Russian journalist to search the KGB files on Regina Fischer? Those files
would, together with the FBI files, finalize the Fischer story.

The Fischer story is going to be a classic and a perfect illustration of the
cold war. It's of historic importance any KGB information on Fischer is
revealed.

As Arye Davidoff from these groups
and Lev Khariton is the same person he will read this thread. I bet on

it.

First, I removed the Dutch group and Huizers Nahui. Nehui let them
spread their Dohuia Huini here again.

Second, as you know, being asked about the KGB and Fischer on several
forums Khariton always avoids the answer. Anyway, try to contact him
via email
