When loading CM9000, it begins with a "puzzle of the day". Is there a
place somewhere in the program where these can be done one after
another? They range from practicing pins, forks, mates, escaping mate
etc. I know that these are listed separately in the drills, but is
there a place where you can do the daily puzzles, so you get some
variety?

Every one of these puzzles (and several more) are available in the
Classroom. Just click on the "Drills" button in the appropriate
section with regards to your chess level (Beginner, Intermediate or
Advanced).
