This year. She did play last year. Anand is also not going to be there this
year. Too bad on both counts. They really add to a tourney by there participation. I infer from a Polgar interview that she feels that she needs a break from big time chess. I haven't heard why Anand isn't going to be there. On the other hand, we will have Kasparov and Kramnic (rats! never can remember if I spell his name right) and some others like Leko who give us good chess to watch. Wilma "Donan" wrote in message ... Oh, dear! "there" should be "their." Hope you-know-who doesn't see this.

Kramnic (rats! never can remember if I spell his name right) It's `Kramnik'. I often find Google to be helpful when I can't remember how to spell somebody's name. Sorry Wilma but you are wrong. The Linares 2003 player list is: Kramnik, Leko, Kasparov, Anand, Ponomariov, Vallejo and Radjabov, ordered by final classification in the tournament. It should have been, Leko, Kramnik, ... as Leko was first in the tournament because of his higher number of won games (4) than Kramnik (2), both with 7 points from 12 possible. Regards, mafergut |

Really? huh. Wonder what I was thinking, besides Corus. Was it Dortmund?
Guess I'll go look. Thanks for the correction. Wilma "mafergut" wrote in message ... "Donan" escribió en el mensaje ... O.k. Thanks. For some reason I don't remember her playing there last year.
