Here is a list of some Tim Hanke notes that mention
his trivia game: 2003-01-16 08:22:51 PST 2003-01-27 07:27:16 PST 2003-01-28 19:26:31 PST 2003-02-02 12:35:52 PST 2003-02-17 06:48:20 PST 2003-02-25 11:48:39 PST 2003-02-25 16:57:19 PST 2003-02-25 18:14:03 PST 2003-02-25 19:01:51 PST 2003-02-26 06:42:56 PST 2003-03-18 19:17:24 PST 2003-04-03 13:59:10 PST 2003-04-27 07:17:48 PST 2003-05-01 06:39:21 PST 2003-05-01 08:37:46 PST 2003-05-01 11:52:53 PST 2003-05-02 08:12:55 PST 2003-07-05 06:41:52 PST 2003-07-20 20:06:25 PST 2003-07-29 11:54:58 PST |

I counted 20, and I am sure there are a lot more. I wrote a book called "Chinese Chess for Beginners". Six thousand have been sold, which is good for a chess book. Every school library in the San Francisco Bay Area bought one. Yet, I do not constantly demand that the USCF sell my book, although I think that it should. Tim Hanke's game has not been produced, nobody has seen it and not one has been sold. Yet, he constantly demands that the USCF sell his game. Many people say he is just joking. However, if this a joke, it long ago ceased to be funny. It threatens the very existence of the USCF. Sam Sloan |

Louis,
Could you please point to a web site that has an archive of these messages, which I assume are from rec.games.chess.*. It is a lot easier to find things if one knows approximately when they took place. I suggest: (1) Click on the word, "Groups". (2) Click on "Advanced Groups Search". (3) Put the word, trivia, in the window labelled, "with all of the words". (4) Put rec.games.chess.politics in the window labelled, "Return only messages from the newsgroup". (5) Put Tim Hanke in the window labelled, "Return only messages where the author is". (6) In the section labelled, "Return messages posted between", set the first date to January 15 2003 and the second date to July 30 2003. (7) Click on "Google Search". (8) Click on "Sort by date". (9) Go to the bottom and click on the number of the last page in the section labelled, "Result Page". (10) Go to the bottom and click on the words, "repeat the search with the omitted results included". |
